Dog's Day Inn - Staff
Paige Shriver, Owner
I’ve been the proud owner of Dog’s Day Inn since February of 2000. When I was a little girl, if anyone asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up, I answered, “work with animals!” I got my first American Bulldog, Bailey, in 1996, ever since then, I’ve been hooked! I began traveling the country showing my Bulldogs in the conformation ring, earning championship points on Bailey and many of her progeny. When I stumbled upon the “For Sale” listing for Dog’s Day Inn, it was a small, 17 kennel facility offering very limited services. I saw the potential, and began transforming that dream into reality. Dog’s Day Inn is now one of the most highly rated boarding and grooming facilities in Richmond. I live on 4.5 acres with my American Bulldogs: Icis, Chevez, Oz, and Zonik. We are active members of the Rivanna Schutzhund and Police Club, and the American Working Dog Federation. I also serve on the Board of Directors for the Federation American Bulldog. “It’s all about the dogs!!!”
Kristen Shriver, Shift Manager
My name is Kristen and I’m a very familiar face around Dog’s Day Inn. I have two pit bulls named Angel and Frank. I also have a French Bulldog named Mimi. You will find her searching Dog’s Day Inn for spare kibbles. I’m Paige’s daughter so I’ve been working with the pups since I was old enough to spray a hose. I started caring for my own dogs as a chore when I was a child. Now, I care for my own and many more! Dog’s Day Inn is a family business so each dog that comes through our front door is a new family member. I love my job because there’s nothing better or easier than sharing my love with animals.
Beth Shriver, Office Manager
Hi, I’m the office manager at Dog’s Day Inn. I live with my husband, Mike, our son, Mason and our four dogs. We have two westies, Sylvia and Bee, a yorkie, Sophie, and a miniature dachshund, Grace. I compete with my dogs in earth dog and agility. Grace and Bee both have their Junior Earthdog titles, and are working on their Senior Earthdog titles. I have just started to compete in agility with Bee.
I have been at Dog’s Day Inn from the very beginning. I even married into the family. If that’s not commitment, I don’t know what is.
